"SBBS Report" is published by Small Business Big Savings.

If we needed proof that small business in Canada has been receiving a lot of attention lately, we certainly have it now that The Globe and Mail has launched its first issue of "Report on [Small] Business" or RO[S]B.

Editor Laas Turnbull, in his lead editorial says that it is not the intention of the publication to glorify the plight of small business owners, rather he promises to provide readers with the opportunity to learn from the success and mistakes of others through examples and real-life business experience.

True to his word the first issue contains some valuable information and articles for small business owners. There is a worthwhile article, The Art of the Pitch written by Toronto venture capitalist, Doug Steiner that contains some straight, pull no punches advice on how to go about raising start-up money. More than your average "how-to" business article…a lot more.

Another feature tries to explain what makes entrepreneurs tick by highlighting several small business owners and their companies.

Most articles contain street-smart information for small business owners and all-in-all, RO[S]B is a certainly a worthwhile read.

The magazine is intended as a quarterly publication and arrived with the latest issue of MANDATE, the CFIB newsletter.
